Elinor Otto was one of the original Rosie the Riveters

Elinor Otto was one of the original Rosie the Riveters who replaced men who went overseas during World War II. She worked for Ryan Aeronautical Corporation in San Diego for 14 years until she was laid off. Almost a year later, Otto moved to Long Beach to work for Douglas Aircraft Company, which merged with McDonnell Aircraft and later with Boeing. She was laid off again in 2014 at the age of 95 from Boeing shortly before completing a total of 50 years working on aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Andrew Lee)
