MAFFS Activates

A fuels technician runs a pump fueling a C-130J of the 146th Airlift Wing on the flightline at Channel Islands Air National Guard Base in Port Hueneme, California, Dec. 9, 2017. It takes just 15-20 minutes to pump a mixture of dry chemicals and water into the storage tank of the MAFFS unit, which is loaded in the cargo bay, and launch the aircraft on another fire-fighting sortie.
