Cadet Falconers Take Flight

U.S. Air Force Academy Cadet 1st Class Jensen Caster, academy falconry team, and Ziva, a gyr-saker falcon, have been together for three years at the academy. The Academy’s falcons perform for 500,000 to 600,000 people each year at sporting events and educational demonstrations nationwide. The first Academy class selected the falcon as its mascot in 1955.
